Andrea Gent Memorial Scholarship Fund...
Andrea's family and friends established the Andrea Gent Memorial Scholarship Fund to assist students from the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District continue their education at public universities within the state of Texas.
Counselors from the Cy-Fair ISD submit candidates for these scholarships to a Selection Committee chosen from Andrea's family and friends. The awards are made in the spring semester of each high school year.
The first scholarship awards will be made in the spring of 2006. Information on the recipients will be posted as it becomes available.
The San Antonio Area Foundation manages the actual scholarship money. The San Antonio Area Foundation is a non-profit organization specifically created to protect, grow and distribute charitable funds. The scholarship awards are forwarded directly to each student's account at their college or university. The funds may be used for tuition, books, fees and course equipment.
All contributions to the Andrea Gent Memorial Scholarship Fund are tax deductible.

Andrea's family continues to make contributions to the Andrea Gent Memorial Fund on those occasions throughout the year when they otherwise would have presented Andrea with a card or gift.
